Her Climate Kahani
Politics4Her’s Asia Hub presents Her Climate Kahani.
In August 2026, the floods arrived in Pakistan. There was no time to sit with what was happening. The urgency of the moment demanded action. We moved quickly towards flood relief, statistics, social media campaigns, and the many raised eyebrows that came with them. We documented what we could, amplified what needed to be amplified, and tried to make ourselves useful in the ways we knew how. But amidst all of this urgency, there were heartbreakings tories that shook us.
Small, devastating instances we witnessed. Things that deserved to be remembered, but that we did not have the time or the emotional space to sit with. Grief had to wait. Documentation had to wait. We told ourselves we would come back to them. Months passed. And slowly, an anguish began to settle in. The anguish of knowing that so many of these stories might disappear with time without anyone knowing they had ever existed.
Somewhere in that ache, Her Climate Kahani was born. It began as a small attempt to gather women and young storytellers who were willing to carry these stories with them, and to preserve them in their own words, into a space where they have a chance to express what Climate Change felt like.
